Construction Overview

Foundation

The foundation and basement work begins with DR masonry, RR masonry/Block masonry, and RCC belt to ensure a strong base. This phase involves meticulous excavation and leveling of the ground, followed by filling with good quality red earth compacted in 30 cm layers. The superstructure for walls, constructed with block work of good quality in CM 1:6, includes the installation of doors and windows in their designated spaces. Lintels and sunshades are reinforced with RCC lintel for all-around wall support, adhering to the specified elevation. The staircase is built with RCC normal steps, complete with steel handrails and 8mm toughened glass.,

Super Structure

The superstructure commences with RCC slab and beam construction as per the drawings, using concrete M20 Grade with 20 mm broken stone and sufficient reinforcement for all RCC work. MSand is used for all RCC works, ensuring durability and strength. PCC flooring is then laid using cement concrete 1:4:8 with 40 mm broken stone. The entire structure is meticulously plastered in CM 1:4 with 12 mm thickness, using P.sand for both internal and external plastering, which includes mesh fixing for all RCC masonry joints. The roof is further plastered with a water-proofing compound in CM 1:4 to prevent water seepage. Antitermite treatment is conducted for the basement before PCC.

Plastering and Painting

After completing the structural work, the house undergoes plastering with CM 1:4 to ensure that the interior and exterior surfaces are smooth, and the roof part is covered with a waterproofing material. The parapet is constructed using block masonry with a 10 cm thickness of cement mortar 1:6. The following is the final list of the most important concepts and ideas that have been discussed in this paper: Flooring involves the use of vitrified tiles in all the rooms and toilets, granite for the porch and inside stairs and epoxy flooring for extra strength and beauty. The painting stage includes two coats of putty, one coat of cement primer, and two coats of emulsion for internal walls and the front elevation of the building, and external surfaces receive one coat of cement primer and two coats of exterior emulsion. The wooden and metallic parts are given the right treatment to give a neat look to the final product.

Final Inspections and Handover

The final inspections are aimed at checking the conformity of the construction to the building codes and safety requirements. The whole house is thoroughly cleaned to ensure that it is ready for use by the occupants. Water supply pipes, drain and sewage pipes, electrical wires and electrical panels are also fitted in the building. The plumbing fixtures are joined and the switches and outlets are put in place for complete functionality. The client then makes a final inspection to assess the quality of the work done. After that, the keys and other documents required are returned to the homeowner, signifying the end of the completion and handover of the project.
